The Head and Neck Cancer Genomics Laboratory (Principal Investigator: Dr Joshua Tay, MBBS, PhD) at the National University of Singapore is inviting applications for a postdoctoral research fellow / research scientist. The successful candidate will be involved in the identification of molecular targets in head and neck cancers through novel state-of-the-art genomic techniques, as well as the translation of these findings into therapeutic strategies.

This role will be working on drug discovery related research projects within the Oncology Bioinformatics department at Genentech. Here, we develop and apply Client computational concepts to molecular data to better understand the biology of cancer and develop therapeutic opportunities. The candidate for this role will have a strong background in computational biology and -omics data analysis, an excitement to contribute to early-stage drug programs, and at least some experience leveraging advanced computational models or machine learning / deep learning frameworks.

A Senior Research Scientist position is available immediately in Prof Chng Wee Joo’s groups for a highly motivated PhD graduate with experience in Bioinformatics (computational genomics). The focus of the lab is on deciphering transcriptional and genomic abnormalities in the context of blood cancer, including epigenetic and superenhancer deregulation, using single cell sequencing amongst other genomics techniques.
