We are seeking a highly motivated bioinformatician with preclinical or clinical experience to join our Translational Bioinformatics late stage Immunology Cardiovascular Fibrosis and Neurology (ICFN) team within Informatics and Predictive Sciences group. The successful candidate will help advance Bristol Myers Squibbs industry-leading ICFN late stage clinical programs through the strategic application of cutting-edge bioinformatics approaches. Responsibilities Analyze various -omic-scale biomarker data generated from human subjects in BMS clinical trials and other observational cohorts including RNA-Seq Exome and Whole Genome Sequencing high throughput proteomics and multiplex flow cytometry to validate pharmacodynamics effects confirm the mechanism of action and enable patient enrichment strategies. Integrate and mine large-scale external data sets to further our understanding of diseases in gastroenterology and neurology. Extract insights and generate hypotheses to be evaluated in future trials and to inform our discovery pipeline. Collaborate with bioinformaticians statisticians biologists biomarker leads and clinicians to design experiments. Define and implement statistical/computational analysis plans. Qualifications: Ph.D. in bioinformatics engineering statistics physics molecular biology genetics or a similar discipline. Two (2) or more years relevant experience in preclinical or clinical research. Proficiency using R and Bioconductor packages is highly preferred. Strong experience in statistical modeling and/or machine learning approaches such as mixed-effects models predictive modeling etc. Experience with clinical database (SDTM/ADaM) and biomarker statistical analysis is a plus. Strong background in -omic (DNA RNA epigenetic proteomic) data analysis and biological interpretation. Prior experience in immunology or neurology is a plus. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills rigorous and creative thinking Ability to communicate effectively with biologists biostatisticians and computational scientists.
