You will develop a laboratory protocol for purifying high-molecular-weight viral DNA (and/or RNA) from human fecal samples, and sequence these using Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing. Additionally, you may utilize Oxford Nanopore selective sequencing (real time selection of sequenced molecules) to deplete bacterial DNA.

This is an exciting opportunity to deploy expertise in computational biology in an active multidisciplinary environment.
