The Computational Soft Matter Lab (CSM), at the Faculty of Science of the University of Amsterdam (UvA), is seeking a new computational researcher for a tenure track Assistant professorship position. These topics could be pursued in atomic, molecular, and optical systems, or in condensed matter systems.

As a member of the Applied Physics team, the Computational Plasma Physicist will help develop relevant and accurate computational models of the plasma dynamics in General Fusion’s Magnetized Target Fusion (MTF) compression architecture. The work will involve incorporating new physical effects into existing code or developing and testing new code. The successful candidate should also be familiar with computational and numerical methods in areas outside of plasma physics, including computational fluid dynamics.
