Dr. Nicholas Banovich is an Assistant Professor in the Integrated Cancer Genomics Division at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). The Banovich lab is focused on understanding how changes in gene regulation contribute to complex disease. Our work employs functional genomics, computational biology, population genetics, and molecular biology to understand how regulatory changes can alter complex phenotypes. We are looking for a talented computational scientist to lead the analysis of single cell and spatial genomics data. This candidate would have the opportunity to work across the major research areas of the lab and would also be encouraged to identify and pursue new research areas and ideas. This is a flexible position and we are open to hiring someone to work remotely if they are the right fit. Requirements

The successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership role in ongoing projects as well as develop new research ideas. Specific duties will include, data analysis, interpretation of results, and presentation of findings and preparation of peer reviewed manuscripts. 


Education and Preferred Qualifications: At a minimum the candidate will be required to have a PhD in the areas of genetics, biology, or computational biology, and have a demonstrated publication record in the area of genomics
