Job Description Job Description The Xavier lab is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers with PhD degrees in molecular biology biochemistry immunology or computational biology.

Development and application of the PhaseFinder algorithm to examine the diversity of phase variation uncovering enrichment of invertons in host-associated bacterial species and inverton mediated antibiotic resistance and interhost adaptation. [Jiang et al Science 2019 Jan;363(6423):181-187 PMID:30630933] Single-cell resolution mapping of the enteric nervous system (ENS) reveals extensive diversity of neuron subsets with conserved transcriptional programs providing a roadmap for dissecting the role of the ENS in health and disease. [Drokhlyansky et al Cell 2020 Sep 17;182(6):1606-1622 PMID:32888429] Cellular adaptation to ER stress is mediated by the transcriptional regulator QRICH1 which determines cell fate through control of protein translation and secretory networks that are upregulated in inflammatory pathologies. QUALIFICATIONS Strong publication record and excellent communication skills. Excellent organization and time management skills required. Ability to use sound judgment to handle a variety of tasks and to shift priorities simultaneously as well as to effectively solve problems.
