We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic computational scientist to join a team dedicated to advancing Our Company's Oncology pipeline. The successful candidate will: Maintain, improve and optimize our Company’s suite of bioinformatics tools and algorithms for Oncology. Analyze, visualize and summarize Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and other molecular data from oncology clinical trials and proprietary and public large molecular databases. Effectively present data analyses in interactions with stakeholders representing a wide span of internal organizations, including Translational Oncology, Molecular Diagnostics, Clinical Development, and Statistics. Position Qualifications: Education Minimum Requirement: PhD (preferred) in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field with a significant computational and statistical component or MSc with 7+ yrs experience applying computational methods in cancer biology in a pharma, biotech or academic setting. Required Experience and Skills: 3+ experience with key Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) sequencing tools (BWA, GATK etc), automatization, and with both linux environment (shell scripting, python, high-performance computing). 3+ years experience and demonstrated expertise with scientific computation environments (Matlab and/or R highly preferred). Hands-on analysis experience with algorithms for large genetic, genomic, and clinical datasets (e.g. TCGA, GTEx). Independent, flexible and collaborative mindset. Preferred Experience and Skills: Understanding of the major concepts of cancer biology as represented in molecular data. Experience with analysis of genomic data originating from clinical trials. Working knowledge of methods of statistical learning and data mining and application to biological problems. Experience with a matrix environment and ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues from a wide range of disciplines. Record of publishing in high profile scientific journals.
