Who You Are: We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow interested in investigating immune cell heterogeneity in human diseases. The work involves the development and application of computational machine learning frameworks to high-throughput datasets tailored for cutting edge questions and for functional validation. The objective is to better define the relationship between specificity and immune phenotype with the aim to improve patient immunotherapeutic selection and prognostication. What You'll Be Doing: Collaborate with computational and experimental scientists to conduct and publish original research Investigate and Improve on existing specificity tools. Design frameworks to interrogate immune cell specificity and phenotype Establish platforms able to predict immune responses. What You Bring: A PhD or equivalent in computational biology, statistics, computer science, or a similar field. Candidates holding a degree in biological/medical science are also welcome to apply if they have extensive background in computational or statistical work. Recent graduates and PhD candidates who will defend soon are welcome to apply. Required Experience and Skills: Demonstrated experience designing computational methods and tools, including prior experience with algorithms and high-dimensional data analysis. Demonstrated proficiency with several of the following: Perl, Python, Java, Matlab, R, C, C++, Unix. Publication record in biologic or quantitative sciences The candidate is expected to have effective oral communication and written skills. Preferred Experience and Skills: Documented skills in genome informatics such as processing transcriptomic or phylogenomic datasets Experience addressing immunological concepts or willingness to learn advanced Immunology in a short time frame Experience in bioinformatic analysis of single cell transcriptomic, B and T cell receptor repertoire Experience in bioinformatic analysis of mass spectrometry data We are a research-driven biopharmaceutical company.
