We are seeking motivated post-doctoral fellows who are experienced in dealing with high-dimensional data and possess strong computer programming skills. Individuals that will join our team will work closely with researchers and clinicians, and will be mentored by leading computational labs to provide expertise to the PMCC AI team. Here's What You'll Get To Do: Leverage appropriate AI software, tools, and applications to solve medical/clinical problems. Write and utilize scripts/programs for AI tasks (e.g., R / Seurat / Python based analyses). Access and analyze large repositories of data through scripting procedures. Analyze medical image datasets with deep learning. Analyze clinical texts with Natural Language Processing (NLP) libraries. Leverage high performance computing service and/or distributed computing infrastructure by writing scripts for large jobs. Responsible for executing multiple machine learning priorities. Participate and contribute to methodological research including but not limited to the development of machine-learning analytic methods. Work independently to meet deadlines. Train with leading computational and cardiovascular scientists Be a part of publications that arise from data generated Communicate with other bioinformatics clusters Here's What You'll Need: Minimum of PHD level education in Computer Science, Bioinformatics or equivalent experience (PHD must be obtained within 5 years). Strong publications in machine learning, computer vision or natural language processing considered an asset. Expertise with deep learning frameworks (tensorflow or pytorch). Expertise with CNNs on image analysis. Expertise with RNNs and attention mechanisms on Natural Language Processing (NLP) is preferred. Experience with genetics, epigenetics preferred. Experience with computer operating systems (e.g., UNIX, Windows), programming and scripting (e.g., R, Python, Perl), data storage, management and analysis. Experience with GPUs and distributed computing infrastructure a definite asset Experience with data visualization and presentation tools. Candidates who possess knowledge and education in a biology-related field as well as computing will be preferred. Excellent communication skills and can thrive in a collaborative team. A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
