Job Description: Position is with: Cancer Data Science Laboratory - Eytan Ruppin, M.D., Ph.D. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world’s largest medical research facility, has a challenging position available in the Cancer Data Science Laboratory, National Cancer Institute (NCI). Candidate will be conducting cutting-edge research on developing and applying computational data analysis methods in cancer, to advance our understanding and ability to treat cancer patients. Qualifications and Job Details: Degree Required: Ph.D. or equivalent Location: Bethesda, Maryland Appointment Type: Training Position Work Schedule: Full-time position Citizenship: US Citizenship not required - (ie, permanent resident, visa) Stipend: Commensurate with experience REQUIRED SKILLS: Qualifications for this position include Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in computational sciences and related fields. Candidates should be proficient in bioinformatics, data analysis, machine learning and computational biology. PREFERRED SKILLS: Candidates with a background and track record in cancer research, with expertise in big data analysis of genomics and other omics data will be preferentially considered. About the NCI Center for Cancer Research: The Center for Cancer Research (CCR) is home to nearly 250 basic and clinical research groups located on two campuses just outside of Washington, D.C. CCR is part of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and makes up the largest component of the research effort at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
