Job Description:
About this Role: The Institute of Computational Comparative Medicine (ICCM) and Department of Anatomy and Physiology within College of Veterinary Medicine are seeking applicants for a Fellow (Post Doc) to work in the Computational Toxicology and Pharmacokinetic Modeling Laboratory with Dr. Zhoumeng Lin. The incumbent to this position will develop computational pharmacology and toxicology models to address food safety and risk assessment issues. The computational models could be physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK), population-based nonlinear mixed effects pharmacokinetic (PopPK), pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD), quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) models, or other related models. The candidate is encouraged to incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to build robust models. We also encourage to link the computational models to toxicogenomics and adverse outcome pathways to provide insights into the mechanism of pharmacokinetics and toxicokinetics of drugs, environmental chemicals, and nanoparticles. We Support Diversity and Inclusion: Kansas State University embraces diversity and promotes inclusion. The University actively seeks individuals who foster a collegial environment and cooperative interactions with coworkers, students, and others. The University is dedicated to promoting the Principles of Community.
