PMO Computational Biologist Lead

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role Program Management Office Computational Biologist Lead are to:

 

  • Process analyze and visualize data from proteomics chemo proteomics phosphoproteomics and interaction proteomics experiments;
  • Build and perfect informatics pipeline for mass spec-based proteomics;
  • Drive bioinformatics strategy by working closely with chemical biologists pharmacologists and data scientists to develop tools and workflows that support research strategy;
  • Explore modern computational methodologies in multi-omics (proteomics functional genomics transcriptomics) to generate biological interaction networks such as protein-protein interaction networks gene-protein interaction networks and gene regulatory networks to provide insights into disease biology and the Mechanism of Action (MoA) of selected compounds;
  • Maintain scientific and technical expertise through familiarity with scientific literature attending conferences and developing relationships with thought leaders.

Required qualifications:

 

  • Ph.D. in bioinformatics computational biology proteomics or genomics or a similar subject area with four years of postgraduate experience in the industry;
  • Hands-on experience in performing analysis and interpreting biology with proteomics datasets;
  • Experience in multi-omics data;
  • Expertise in current bioinformatics and computational biology tools methods and applications;
  • Strong analytical statistical and programming skills (Python/R/etc.);
  • A strong record of scientific achievement and innovation including publications in high-impact journals;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with scientists working in other disciplines.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Analysis including genetics transcriptomics and single-cell RNA-Seq.
