About the area & the Position In the Computational Research area, we collaborate closely with research scientists across the R&D area to improve and accelerate the understanding of disease biology for target discovery and development. We are actively acquiring access to new computational platform while developing and applying data analysis tools and prediction models to a variety of biological and chemical data Your responsibility will be to work closely with scientists across our R&D sites in Denmark, China and UK to contribute to global bioinformatics and computational biology strategy. In particular, we expect you to drive advance computational analyses and computational platform development in NNRCC to contribute to various stages in pre-clinical study, including identifying and validating new therapeutic targets from in-house and public datasets, understanding mode of action and more. Another important part of the job is to participate in training and knowledge sharing for non-computational scientists in the organization. This position will also involve establishing and driving external bioinformatics and computational biology collaborations. Qualifications PhD in bioinformatics / computational science / biological sciences or equivalent, preferably at least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or academia. Strong knowledge within one or more specific areas in biological mechanisms and drug discovery process, such as pathway and network analysis, genetic analysis and DNA/protein sequence analysis, oligo design and so on.
