Function/Duties of Position The Oregon National Primate Research Center is searching for an enthusiastic computational scientist to join a team developing novel applications of single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to better understand infectious disease pathogenesis and aid vaccine development. The applicant will lead the analysis of single-cell RNA-seq data from T cells and other lymphocyte subsets using established and novel methods. The work may also include TCR clonotype analyses, and non-single cell data such as bulk RNA-seq or epigenetic assays. The applicant will ideally be able to perform self-directed exploration and analysis of complex datasets, in addition to analyses under the direction of supervisors. This position requires a hardworking, dedicated individual who has careful attention to detail.
